Originally from the light novel Sword Art Online.

Gameplay

Yuuki by appearance has similar normals which look like a mash up of Asuna and Kirito however her playstyle is much different compared to the two of them. Yuuki playstyle is very honest however is very freeform due to her Extended Actions of various moves which allow her to jump cancel out of them as well as her trump which allows her to jump cancel out of all of her moves. Yuuki doesn't hold explosive damage without proper use of her Extended Actions she can be scary for an opponent to approach if they're not careful about the spacing of her j[c] or 214[c].

Pros

  • Freeform Pressure
  • Charged Moves are strong against players lacking in MU experience
  • Under Trump being able to jump cancel anything allows for scary pressure under the right use and explosive damage with freeform jump cancels
  • Decent range on Sword Normals
  • Character Potential extending duration of her Trump creates lasting threatening effect

Cons

  • Damage isn't explosive without spending resources and outside of trump
  • Mix-up can be predictable and risky against experienced players
  • Requires good space control
  • Range on normals are average, whiffing stronger normals or movesets can get you killed

Recommended Assists

Wilhelmina - Wilhelmina is a strong staple in this version of the game for good reason however brings a lot more for Yuuki. Off of Yuuki's general BnB under Trump Yuuki can jump cancel and setup for a cross up that breaks cross up protection with utilization of Wilhelmina.

Mashiro - Mashiro is alot stronger in this version now that both of her assists cause hard knockdown as well as Mashiro being completely invulnerable after the first cat is released. Due to Yuuki's strong moves such as j[C] and 214[C] and he freeform ability to apply pressure, having Mashiro forces the opponent to stay on the ground and further allows Yuuki to play her game more.

Potentials

Universal Potential: Increases damage dealt by 10% for 20 seconds when health falls under 30%. If behind in rounds won, increases damage dealt by 20% instead.

Character Potential: While in Trump Card state, use 41236BC to recover a quarter of your Trump Card Gauge. Can be activated once a round.
