Health Multiplier

After you select your character, you are able to choose any are arcana out of the 23. Under each arcana is the Power and Defense ratings of each one, represented with stars (☆). These ratings will change the health of you and your opponent. Defense will only change your health positively (+). Power will only change your opponents health negatively (-). For example, if you choose the Water arcana, you will subtract -240 HP from the opponent... effectively giving them more health. However, you will add +240 to your own health. This chart displays the power and defense values for each arcana. The highest values are highlighted with blue and the lowest in red.

In other words: Pow ☆= Strength, Def ☆= Defense. Pow ☆ and Def ☆ are the values that the game gives you on the arcana select screen. The more stars there are, the BETTER. Strength is the amount of life points you take away from the opponent. Defense is the amount of life points that you gain.

Arcana Gauge Modifiers

Your selection in arcana also affects how fast your Arcana Gauge increase as well as its recharge speed. The values below are percentages. One Arcana Gauge bar is (likely) 17,000 points. The amount your gauge increases is [Move's Damage X Category Prorate X Arcana Prorate (X 1.1 in EF)]

To Clarify: Attack refers to when you hit the opponent with an attack or on block. Block refers to when you block an attack. Damage refers to when you take damage. Recharge refers to how quickly you gain your super meter back after you use it.

Hit refers to when you hit an opponent with an attack. Pressuring refers to when the opponent is blocking your attack. Damaged refers to when you take damage. Blocking refers to when you block an opponents attack.
