Introduction

SATSUKI KIRYUIN

Satsuki Kiryuin, her intimidating presence only dwarfed by her might on the battlefield. Wielding the Life Fiber severing blade Bakuzan and the fearsome Junketsu, Satsuki is a character who possesses the skills for nearly every situation on the battlefield. Satsuki can deal staggering damage at a close range which is only made scarier with Valor. She has a great array of projectiles with wide or tall hitboxes, or ones that flat out home in on your target. She'd be called a jack of all trades if she didn't perform so well in each of her aspects.

Her one central fault however is her health stat, at 9,500. Her Junketsu's uncontrollable power sapping her strength, leaving her with the second smallest pool of health in the game, with Inamuta taking the bottom spot. With the absurd amounts of damage able to be done by most of the roster, this means that you must be especially careful not to make many mistakes or you may be met with deadly punishment.

Satsuki is not a pure rushdown character like her sister. She has efficient tools that apply nicely to the variance of playstyles in the game. You can keep characters who excel at close quarters combat away with your projectiles or chase someone down and smash them flat with your power. It's hard to go wrong picking Satsuki Kiryuin. Just be careful to honor her utterly just and pure self as you fight your battles, or you may be met with a loss.

  • A straight line of blasts are sent forth that stun the opponent upon a guard break. Use it to cause just that.
  • You will have an easier time converting off of a 5AAAC Guard Break rather than from 5AAAAC because of less pushback.
  • Continuing into 5AAAA can catch side steps that 5AAAC is susceptible to.

  • Satsuki performs three fierce slashes vertically and then thrusts her blade towards the sky, launching you away a short distance.

  • At Valor Level 2, sp.A gains additional hits and a more damaging ender where she does an intense overhead slash. This version still has the same rules when blocked or whiffed.
  • Damage/Hitstun Armor on startup.
